We Are ALL Animals
Look up, laugh loud, talk big, keep the color in your cheek
and the fire in your eye, adorn your person,
maintain your health, your beauty and your animal spirits
All animals are connected by one thing, that we are all animals. I saw this in a fun video that I watched over the weekend. Although I was watching this because I was bored it did get me thinking. In September an adorable act was caught on camera at the Zurich Zoo in Switzerland. A baby elephant is trying to climb out of a pit in its habitat when it falls. After this a series of events ensues that is strangely human.
When I described this event I described it as human like. The strange thing is that these are not humans these are elephants. This got me thinking, maybe what we think of as human reactions are actually just animalistic actions. Out of all the species in the world humans history is by far the most marked by blood. We are much more destruction. Most animals are kind to each other, of course there are fights over territory, but these are for survival needs. Is it possible that humans have become so involved in getting more "territory" that we have left behind the animalistic instinct to protect and help each other? This was a video that I watched just for fun, and maybe I'm thinking to much, but I do find it interesting to think; would you help someone up?
