Ana didn't lie. His days at her paradise quickly turned into a sort of torture. He had had tough coaches, but Ana was the toughest. He would spend hours racing and beating himself into the ground only to see her shake her head and turn away from him. He was not the only kid to suffer. There were ten when they got there. By the second week there were only five left. Alyssa and Leslie Pitacway twins from South Africa, Jeremy Schnilzewick from Germany, and finally Robert Adlerborrow. "Robert!" It was a shouted word that Michael had learned quickly. Robert was a mirror of Michael. In both appearance and in his running times. Never had Michael had someone who every practice he had had to compete with. He found out the first day that Ana loved nothing more than dangling a prize above two people and the. Seeing who wanted it more. In was a vicious animalistic ferocity that overtook Michael when he and Robert were on the track at the same time. The strangest thing was that this fierce rivalry seemed to draw them together off the track. Michael spent most of his time not training hanging by the poolside with Robert. It was comfortable to be with Robert but Michael always felt as though there was always some alternative motive that Robert had in mind when they were together. As the weeks dragged on Michael started to wonder weather coming to Switzerland was a mistake. But every time he thought about it he noticed Robert. There seemed to be some smug aspect about him that said, "go and quite I knew you didn't have it in you" and so Michael stayed.
